Do you have Early Years Training experience, with a passion for supporting and empowering staff? We are looking for an Academy Lead to lead our internal Careers Academy Plan.
Salary – Up to £34,900 inclusive of bonus based on experience – 32 hours per week (equivalent to a £43,000 salary for 40 hour per week)
32 Hours / 4 days per week / Some Hybrid working
Flexible hybrid role, consisting of home-based working and in person training at our Head Office in WD6, Elstree.
Job Purpose:
As Careers Academy Lead and company trainer, you will be responsible for supporting staff through the successful completion of their bespoke Academy plan and training to support a clear career progression pathway.
You will join a forward-thinking team delivering outstanding training, as well as taking lead on apprentices and students.
Key role responsibilities and accountabilities:
- To train, coach, support and deliver the Careers Academy programme across a group of 6 nurseries
- Working independently to manage the training of 6 internal Career Academies, writing the training materials and ensuring company culture is a pillar in all training
- Support trainee Apprentices to complete company trials successfully
- Facilitate and deliver through a range of different methods to create an engaging learning programme.
- On-board new apprentices and staff, handing over inductions to the nursery Manager
- Managing the Apprentice Levy financials

Essential skills & experience:
- Capable & qualified to work across: Early Years Practitioner Level 2, Early Years Educator Level 3, Early Years Lead Practitioner Level 5.
- A social leader with strong coaching skills
- A competent writer of training materials and confident to deliver these materials
- Extensive knowledge & experience within the Early Years sector and leaders in the education sector
- Exceptional knowledge and understanding on supporting learners
- Competent with Microsoft based software and PowerPoint
- Efficient time management & organisational skills
Desirable skills & experience:
- Experience of teaching via Teams/Zoom with experience of virtual learning and in person training.
- Experience in training leadership, management and coaching.
- Level 3 Safeguarding qualification or prepared to work towards this.
- Hold a recognised teacher/ training qualification (AET, PTLLS or equivalent) or willing to work towards.
