Salary: Up to £37,912.16 per annum + additional pay based on qualifications
Contract: Year-round role (50 weeks per year)

Position Overview:
As a Room-Based Deputy Manager, you will:
- Lead the day-to-day running of the Preschool Room, ensuring routines are followed and every child thrives
- Work directly with children and staff in ratio, modelling outstanding practice and supporting development
- Support and coach your room team, ensuring high-quality interactions, learning, and care at all times
- Be responsible for room planning, deployment, observations, assessments, and parent engagement
- Step in as Designated Person in Charge in the absence of the 1st Deputy or Nursery Manager
- Monitor child progress and development closely, providing early intervention support where needed
- Drive parental involvement through meetings, learning journeys, and home learning opportunities
- Contribute to wider nursery operations, team culture, and marketing initiatives
Role Requirements:
- QTS OR EYITT
- Strong, hands-on experience working in a leadership capacity within an Early Years setting
- Confidence in managing a key group of children and leading staff within a room-based environment
- In-depth understanding of the EYFS framework and child development
- A nurturing, proactive leadership style that encourages growth and positivity
Salary & Progression
- £37,912 per year, reviewed annually
- Extra salary bonuses for qualifications:
- Level 5: +£416/year
- Level 6: +£832/year
- EYPS/QTS/EYITT: +£1,664/year
