This could be the role you’ve been waiting for! Our Stanmore Nursery is hiring a Room Leader to lead one of our Toddler Room and join our warm, dedicated team, helping deliver the outstanding early years experiences our children and families deserve.

You’ll take real ownership of your base room – leading a team, nurturing children’s development and building genuine partnerships with families. If you’re Level 3-qualified, passionate about early years and ready to grow in a nursery that truly values its people, we’d love to hear from you.

The role at a glance

  • Role: Nursery Room Leader
  • Salary: Up to £34,200 per annum, inclusive of up to 10% annual performance bonus
  • Hours: Full Time, 40 hours per week, all year round
  • Location: Bright Little Stars, Stanmore HA7

What you’ll do

  • Lead and manage your base room, ensuring daily routines and EYFS requirements are consistently met.
  • Track children’s developmental progress, identify additional needs and plan activities that drive outstanding outcomes.
  • Build strong relationships with parents through regular updates, meetings and home learning support.
  • Manage, coach and motivate your room team, including deployment, supervisions and performance reviews.
  • Maintain safeguarding standards and report any concerns in line with policy.
  • Support the Nursery Manager with cohort tracking in March, July and November.
  • Contribute to a positive, collaborative team culture where every child and staff member can thrive.

What we’re looking for

Essential:

  • Level 3 Early Years qualification (or equivalent), as required by OFSTED guidelines.
  • Proven experience leading or supervising a team in an early years setting.
  • Strong knowledge of the EYFS framework and relevant legislation.
  • Excellent communication skills with children, parents and colleagues.
  • Experience managing a group of key children and completing developmental records.
  • A caring, solution-focused approach with real commitment to high-quality childcare.
